Give Chris Brown a Donte Stallworth...I mean break!

by J-One Royal Fam
Everybody should have heard about teen sensation and heart-throb Chris Brown. He sang and danced into our hearts, living rooms, and iPods. His potential was on pace with his superior singing and dancing talent. Well... That is until he beat up his girlfriend, fellow songstress Rihanna.
We should all know the story by now. Recently, he's been to trial and sentenced. Some say it was not enough. Some say it was too much.
The problem that I have with this is not with the justice system. He did commit a crime, so he must and should do the time. The problem that I have is with the fans and fellow entertainers who have alienated him. Radio stations stopped playing his songs, he lost his endorsements, and he can't even perform.

4th of July Gives Police The Right To Violate YOUR First Amendment Rights!

"It is pretty bad when I go and fight a tyrannical government somewhere else, and then I come home to find it right here at my front door."

That's a great quote by "Iraqi War" veteran, Vito Congine Jr. Well if you haven't heard, ol' Vito decide to fly his American flag upside-down as a sign of distress outside a restaurant he'd spent beaucoup "American" dollars to start only to be denied a liquor license. So, right before the parade was to commence on the Fourth of July, Police came to rip the flag down. For why? Because people in the little town in Wisconsin were upset and felt the gesture was a disrespect aim towards the flag? The chief of police even stated that it was not illegal to fly the flag in such a manner, but people were upset and causing a disruption is illegal. That is just obsurd.

So, upsetting people is a crime now? Well, eventually, they are going to have to come down and put me in front of a firing squad. Right now, I am upset, so maybe we should wrangle up all of those pestering House and Senate members and lock them away for a while. And, causing a disruption to the lives of millions of U.S. citizens is not the only crime most of them have committed.

So, now, American flag etiquette doesn't apply when people don't like it. Do you want to know what upsets me and causes disruptions to the lives of 40 million American "citizens"? The great symbol of the culture of the South, the flag of the Confederate States of America. This hate symbol is flown, pressed to bumpers, windows, and clothing, and displayed by idividuals daily--not to mention the State of Mississippi still uses it on it's flag. And for you who say, That's not what it represents... Sit somewhere. There is no way I could wear a shirt, tattoo my body, or fly a flag with a swastika on it without catching flack for it. The swastika has been around for thousands of years, way before Hitler and the rise of Germany. It has since then been stigmatized as a symbol of hate, just as the blue X with 13 stars on a red backdrop.

In conclusion, I say, if we don't want to piss people off how about we do add an amendment to repeal the first amendment and deem it null. Until then, shut the hell up... or not--say and do whatever you feel. But, for now, I'm going to fly my flag upside-down IN THE DARK. Turn Your Page...

J One Royal Fam Says:

Nobody really cares about the 4th of July anymore anyways. When a holiday comes up, especially when your at school or work, nobody cares what it means, they're just happy that they lost a days wage because they don't have to go to work or school. No one sits back and thinks about what this day or any holiday means. When I was in the Marine Corps some ignorant white fellow came up to me a few days before MLK day and said: "Thanks for giving me the weekend off, I wouldn't have made it a whole week at work!" I'm pretty sure that during that weekend he was not going to teach himself or his children why it really is that we have that day as a holiday or what that man did or said.

I'm am not holier than thou, and I'm not ignorant either. If someone wanted to show how he celebrated this day, that is up to him. I mean he was on his own property, with his own flag, on his own time. This "distraction" or lack thereof, is a display of the American's people of case "eye's wide shut", which is the reason for my signature.

I'm glad that this story reached many people who have their eyes open a little bit and are going to help do something about this ugly case of ignorance. Maybe we all can learn a little lesson in "rights"! Meaning: what they are, what they mean, and where they came from. Yep, I'm talking about that old crusty piece of paper that our elected officials keep stepping and peeing on everyday, The Constitution. Read it..you might learn something.

Open your eyes, that's what they're used for....

Independence Day and Freedom...

"Give me liberty, or give me death." - Patrick Henry

These are the famous words that was spoken over 200 years ago to express a frustrated man's feelings about his governement. These same words fueled the fires of many people that eventually fought, bleed, and died so we can have our independence. The irony to it all is that these same words of dissent, or the unstoppable chain of events that it spawned, are the very reason why July the 4th is a national holiday. Many Americans seem to have forgotten how and most importantly why this country was founded and is blinded by a politically correct version of an America that doesn't exist.

Growing up in the deep south I have been around many people that still wave their rebel war banner and in most cases it is not because they want to cherish or remember the days once past, but because they were just hateful people. However, I never said anything to them personally about it or got upset to a point where I caused a public outrage to tear them down because I respect their consitutional rights. These rights were given to us for a reason, a reason that trumps any little temper tantrum that possess these so call Americans. The very same reason why these same Americans probably have gun safes filled with enough fire power to take down a small country, and that reason is Freedom.

Freedom is something that is scarce in these days with bills like the Patriot Act and other related bills that these same Americans was so quick to approve of. However, they only approve of it when it benefits them and not when they are told they can't bring toothpaste or lotion onto an airplane because you might be a terrorist. It is okay when government agencies can kick down the door of Achmed that everything is peaceful in the world, but not when the price of their goods or taxes increase to compensate for increased security. Maybe it is just time for us to change our independence day from July the 4th to a day to be named later, because some more famous words where spoken long ago which were;

"Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." - Benjamin Franklin

Sarah Palin... The Progressive Woman Killer!

First, I would like to say that I noticed my first 2 blogs have to deal with death....that's not good...or is it. Second, how is the audience doing, here at Coup De Blog...we care!

Ok, I was watching the Sarah Palin resignation speech again to try and figure out what the hell she was trying to say. Still haven't got it yet. Then I turned my attention to the Rachel Maddow show, (she is a shinning star in the progressive woman movement, and guess what conservabots she's a lesbian). As you can watch..Rachel is on point, as she usually is.

Now a few things come to mind...

How the hell did this woman get this far? Are alaskians that stupid? If she is going to run for president, is she the example for the conservitive woman? As well as a few others...but that's for me and my "private" time. (HEHEHE)

I was listening to public radio, and this older journalist called in and ripped into Palin saying that she isn't as dumb as she makes her self out to be and she was close to destroying Alaska so it's good that she resigned and things like that. Why the hell would anyone vote for this idiot? Well she is attractive, she is a "Conservative"and she is way up there in Alaska where no one knew her name. I know some Alaskans and I'm pretty sure that they aren't stupid. So what is going on?

Good ol' John McCain. Gotta love that old fart. He sure had a plan during that 2008 election. Since Obama wasn't going to use his woman vote ace-in-the-hole Clinton, then I'm going to use mine!!! So he picks the dumbest female state executive of them all. There were plenty to choose from and almost all of them were Republicans. This chick gets up on that nation stage and shows her ass. This is how a conservative woman is supposed to behave? This chick don't even know what the Vice President is supposed to do, but she was almost in that billet.

So what does this say about women? Hey ladies...if you want to make it in life, use your looks and fake intelligence to propel yourself to the highest elected official in your state. Then act like you are ready to be an old man's mistress, I mean Vice President, but have no idea what the hell your talking about. Then after you lose, stay in the media's eye by complaining everyday about abuse because your the dumb one. Then quit your job for no reason. Then when you try to explain take a play from the "dub-ya" playbook and confuse the shit out of everyone. That is how a WOMAN succeeds in this country.

If that offended you, good, it was supposed to. If that is not your idea of progression for a woman then if you ever see Sarah Palin's name on a ballot or anyone like her....punch the ballot on the opposite side. You won't be wrong ....unless it's "dub-ya", fuck that guy.

J.R. Junior Says...

For starters, the short story that won me 3rd place in my "county's" writing competition at the age of six would blow Little Miss Palin's mind apart. I think it's us as Americans who are too dumb to realize how dumb this lady actually is. Maybe, she is actually smart, but up to this point in history she hasn't made me want to recant my declaration. I've heard and read a lot from people claiming, to paraphrase, "She's just not your typical politician... using a bunch of fancy speech writers... Back in the day, we called it being plain spoken... Sarah Palin is just a normal woman who is plain spoken."

When Kanye West ranted, "George Bush doesn't care about Black people," that was being plain spoken. Palin is just plain STUPID. I don't need to give examples, because it is just that obvious to me, and should be to you too.

Maybe, it was her looks that catapulted her to some amazing peak high in the political arena--I don't think she's that great-looking, personally--but what happened to her could have happened to anyone, almost. If the Democratic nominee would have been a woman, we probably would have seen some sorry excuse for a Black man engaging in buffoonery for votes on the Republican side. If Sarah Palin is a good example of a "progressive" woman, Flavor Flav is a perfect example for becoming a successful Black man. So, all of you beautiful women out there, don't be like her. Learn. Take some time and read; not just romance novels either. Turn Your Page...

Changing Careers During A Recession

I was sitting and thinking about the whole Al Franken ordeal. You know… the comedian who’s made several appearances on Saturday Night Live who's been givin the great privilege of representing the people of Minnesota in the U.S. Senate. I’ve come to the conclusion that our nation is turning away from it’s preconceived notion of what a politician or elected official is or should be. We are moving away from the traditional politician in a sense, and it didn’t just happen overnight. The day still hasn’t come that your average citizen off the street is a respectable enough individual to be elected to make policy, but we are nearing that age. Entertainers are beginning to appeal to the people more than the clean-cut military/college graduate standard. A few of the high-profile entertainers who’ve been elected to office (Ronald Reagan, Jesse Ventura, and Arnold Schwarzenegger to name a few) are verifiable proof. So who has not really been in the political spotlight who is deserving of my vote? Without a campaign or any real agenda presented thus forth, I feel comfortable saying that I would vote for a comedian if awarded the chance. And, that would be the one and only… Chris Rock.

This may seem odd to a lot of people, but, before you began to knock it, you should align your thoughts with mine through my personal analysis of this extraordinary thinker. Most may think of Rock as just an outrageously funny character. But, he is far more than that. I’ve been a Chris Rock fan for most of my life, well at least half. All of his work, from the gut-busting Neva Scared to the dumbest movie I've ever seen, Pootie Tang, has tackled serious issues plaguing our nation. And the campaign he orchestrated in the movie Head of State would be the perfect outline for succeeding to gain any seat desired. I can just hear everyone screaming, “It Ain’t Right! It Ain‘t Right!” Some major standout quotes still resonate in my memory bank even though I haven‘t seen the movie in many years. In one of Rock’s character’s speeches, he lists some of his qualifications by indirectly questioning his opponent’s in a humorous yet declaring affirmation. He astounds listeners with, “…How you gon’ fight crime if you don’t know any criminals? How you gon’ help the poor if you never been poor?” It was then, when Chris Rock won this young teen’s (at the time) vote. Who else besides the common man with common man problems has the knowledge required to know the true troubles of the common man? Who else understands the psyche of the common citizen? That is why we have been turning towards entertainers in overwhelming numbers in recent times.

The entertainer, though, still has an edge on the common man now, because, entertainers already have the name recognition. But, we still see them as more human than the politician whose life has been mapped out since his late teens, if not since conception.
Even a movie as ridiculous as Pootie Tang has helped me to become enthused to propel Rock into a high political seat. Comedy was used only as a tool (along the lines of parody) to exploit the realization of big corporations' absurd desire to articulately manipulate entertainers' influential power for self-righteous means, by way of appealing to, and thus controlling, the masses with even children, of course, not immune to their maniacal ways. And, all you have to do is watch and/or listen to Chris Rock’s many standup specials to witness his wittiness approach to address and tackle race issues. I could go on forever, but for the sake of your time and mine, I’ll leave you with those few examples. Now, I suggest you go back and look at Rock’s work, but this time, from a different angle. You will be able to see for yourself. 2016 anyone? So, Chris Rock, you’re okay in my book. Turn Your Page…

Oh Yeah... Watch for the new documentary, Good Hair.

Good point man. But just for the sake of argument, Regan sucked, Ventura sucked, and Terminator: Rise and fall of California, SUPER SUCKS!!! I have but a small gleam of hope for mister Franken, but I think the powers that be, powered him into his seat, but we'll see.
Alright, now for your real point. I recall telling my mom (an avid Chris Rock hater), that she should watch all of his stuff and look at it from a different point of view. Forget the swearing, forget the sexual innuendos, forget the stuff that he has to do to please the "audience" and look at the movie. Head of state, Pootie Tang, even that last stand up he did are valid reasons why some comedians especially Chris Rock should be in politics and have my vote every single time, no matter party affiliation, (That's a jump for me because I hate "partytics"). Then on top of it all, he's black.

I'm in no means racist or bias to my race, (I think Obama has got some work to do). But it's just like J.R. mentioned: "How you gonna fight crime if you don't know any criminals?" I'm not saying that you have to be black to know criminals but....I digress...I will end up going on for days. I hope you get my point. If not leave a comment..I will be answered!

I concluded by saying this: No matter if your a singer, politician, Marine, comedian, or work at McDonald's, we are Americans. So next time you go to the voting booth, don't look at someones skin, or look at their, probably handed to them by their rich daddy, Yale and Harvard degrees, look at how much an American they are, and if there not going to help you....but help US!! Chris Rock 2016!!! J One Royal Fam 2024!!!!

Michael Jackson Murdered... by His Fans

Well, today made it completely official, Micheal Jackson is dead and buried. As one of our "beloved", iconic, musical legends is laid to rest we have to think....did we kill Micheal Jackson? He was willing to put his 50 year old body through a 50 date tour, for not himself, but US!! The fact that people can't comprehend that living on the stage your whole life is hard and you might not have a childhood. The fact that maybe, or should I say, I was proven in the COURT OF LAW, that he didn't molest dying children. (More on those disgusting little parasites in a sec.) That no matter how weird and mangled his face was, how weird and....weird...his love life was and how weird and confusing his family life was, part, if not all of it, was for US! So what did we do? First, we let him be humiliated to the world not once but twice with the child molestation cases. There are few who can't tell me that in the back of there minds they felt he was guilty. The crime here was that we let the parents of "dying" children manipulate OUR icon. We let greedy, sick, disturbed, deranged, (I could go on for days), people profit off of a loving, extremely generous man, who unconditionally, and innocently loved children. I don't even remember how much that cost him, but it doesn't matter. BUT WAIT....He's dead and NOW WE WANT TO REMEMBER HOW GOOD AND GREAT HE WAS!!!! I mean yes, he was a little irrelevant in our lives up until his death, but damn, I still jam his music sometimes on Saturday morning in my boxers!!!

Michael is gone....as hard as that is to say, it happens and we gotta live with it. But as his surviving fans, we have to live with the fact that we may have very well killed the best performer the world has ever known.

Oh yeah.......SHOULDN'T THOSE FUCKING KIDS BE DEAD BY NOW!!!!

J.R. Junior says...
Oh my g! That pic is hilarious! Well anyway... The sad part is that we have "lawmakers", people elected to "make law", labeling one of our greats based off charges Mike Jack was never convicted for (i.e. Pete King the Idiot). And these are the people who decide, "rationally", what is best for us... Ok. Back on topic. But, just like Congressman King, we all judge in the same way. Once it appears on our TV screens, accusations are received immediately as stone cold fact. One cause may be the notion of "He wouldn't be arrested and charged if they didn't think he did it."

This applies in certainly almost all cases. The great exception is the first murder trial of O.J. Simpson. That was divided along color lines. MJ's cases were a little different. To Whites, he was still perceived as Black man. Blacks, on the other hand, felt that they were abandoned by Michael, believing the media's hype that his skin was intentionally lightened to "turn himself White." Blacks "re-accepted" OJ after being abandoned by Whites. MJ was never afforded the opportunity, but, instead was abandoned by everyone except his own family.

Do you know how many people have loss consciousness at the mere sight of Michael Jackson? How many grown men were brought to tears? When you are damn-near a religious relic in the minds of others for almost all of your life, there is not more that can be accomplished. Oh, and creating the greatest selling album ever doesn't help. The only thing to be done different had to be appearance-oriented. But, he was already the king of fashion and style. Everybody was already jocking his clothing and hairstyles. The only other thing to be altered was his physical attributes. So, the first fall was a result of the whole world loving everything about this great man... His success lead to his fall. After falling so severely, it was time to reclaim that top spot, hence the 50 date tour. And, the pressure to reach previous supremacy was brought about because we had been hating Michael Jackson, The King Of Music for such a long time. We all did (Not me, but I'm only speaking generally; It is probably better written - You all did). He just wanted us to love him again. Turn Your Page...

Oh Yeah: Did you hear that he was planning to make another video game?

What you need to know to be prepared...

My name is what my name is. I am a good-looking "African-American" male of 26 years. I write this as a description of me for you, but I'm not a really big fan of labels. Another thing I'm not fond of is "slogans." You've heard them: You can do anything... What goes around... An apple a day... Just say no! So, please don't attempt to feed me cliches; I don't eat that. Well, at times I tend to be contradictory, or I may contradict some of my previous statements. Times and situations change, and with that, so does my ideas and views. It doesn't make sense to me to remain unchanged as the world around me evolves. I am what I am. I am here to make sense common, since sense is not common. So, hopefully, we can work together to make sense of the things that commonly don't make any... So, be prepared to slowly shed the wool that's been obscuring your vision for such a long time. The light will soon reach your brains, and we will all have bright minds. Any questions? Good. Turn Your Page.

This Blog....and what it means to YOU!!

What's goin' on world. I'm J-One, one of the three writers on this blog. I'm a 23 year-old father of 2 boys, who has a lot to say. Instead of talking to my friends, family and random strangers, I decided the best way to get things off my chest, was to create a blog. But why would anyone read a blog about some guys rants and ravings? I sure as hell wouldn't. SOOOO, a few friends of mine helped out. Coup D'e Blog is a blog about...well...EVERYTHING. The difference is, the world will start out with 3 different points of view on everything that gets posted. Then you, the reader, can add your 2 cents to our collective 6. At times we all may agree, other times the opposite and we may even engage in a good ol' healthy "heated" conversation, that's the beauty of it. So sit back, relax, follow us and prepare to have a point of view on .....well....EVERYTHING!!!
