The Upward Movement

Movement Up Instead Of Forward
An Upist does not operate on any of the waveforms of the left-right-center political spectrum. We position ourselves above this option-limiting spectrum. So, we are allowed to see things from not within, but at a vantage point where we can look down and observe the entire scope of our countries politics. We take a positive stance, stemming from logic and reason, on major and minor issues that affect human lives. We are not a political party and do not participate in the rhetoric of existing parties. We work in the interest of all people; not specific groups and organizations.

Separation of Church and State
Laws and policies made by public officials must not be based on religious ideology. Religious ideologies must not be used to influence the public for political gain. Homosexuals and other minority groups are denied rights based on religious beliefs, which is prohibited by the first amendment. The country's founders escaped religious persecution to establish a nation where such persecution would not be tolerated; we also will not tolerate it.

Crime
To properly fight crime, we need to be more proactive than reactive. The circumstances that cause individuals to revert to crime must end. Improving education and economic situations will cause a significant drop in crime. Prisons and jails should not be privatized or used as human storage containers. Incarceration should be used as an opportunity to rehabilitate and educate the offenders so that upon release they are productive members of society. Funds derived from fines, parole, and probation can no longer be incentive to force citizens into and/or trap them in the criminal justice system.

Education
Every child deserves a high quality, well-funded education no matter what community in which they reside. Students deserve state-of-the-art technology, books, and curriculum. School boards should consist of members whom are professionals in every subject matter. This will be incentive for educators to excel in and around the classroom, for an opportunity to become members of the board. Members of the board are not elected by the general public. They should be nominated and voted on by members of the education community. Districts should be funded based upon the number of students in each district. Schools should then be funded by the number of students in each school. Charter schools should be abolished, because providing education is not for personal profit.

Economy
For far too long, profits have been put before the needs of humanity. Economic systems should be used to benefit society as whole and not a few wealthy, ruthless businessmen. Corporations should not be allotted the same rights as private citizens. Doing so creates a situation where government is controlled by those corporations and not by the people as the constitution intended. Regulation must be used only when the actions of corporations trample on the rights and lives of men, women, and children. Every working-aged citizen is entitled to a decent wage efficient enough to provide them with food, housing, utilities, and transportation, whether public or private. Having every able adult employed with decent wages drastically reduces crime and poverty which in turn increases funds available for those who are incapable of or seeking employment.

National Security & Foreign Policy
Wars should only be fought to maintain the independence and freedom of our nation from an imminent threat. Creating an enemy in order to reap war profits and limit civil liberties for citizens is neither national defense nor good foreign policy. This only justifies the actions of so-called radicals, extremists and/or terrorists. We need to cease the exploitation of resources of sovereign nations, stop meddling in their civil affairs, end our military occupations, and focus on dealing with domestic issues. This will not only enhance national security and benefit us economically, but it will also leave more time, money, and effort for the most important entity in our nation--the people.

Is ObamaCare ObamaCare?

By J.R. Junior

With every legislation or policy thrust upon us by our dear government, we must ask, "Who benefits?". Is it the American people as the left declares? Or is it proponents of a government takeover as suggested by the right? Luckily for you, Coup De Blog doesn't operate on any of the waveforms of that particular political spectrum. As "Upists", we position ourselves above the spectrum, so we are allowed to see things--from not within but--at a vantage point where we can look down and observe the entire scope of American politics.

It should be no surprise that most officials on both sides of the aisle actually wanted the health care bill to pass. Since Democrats paint themselves as the "party of the people" and true advocates of "social change", they were forced to introduce and support legislation that appears to help disadvantaged citizens of the country.

The Republican stance is a little more complex. They, too, have supporters and voters to appease (or to rouse into hysteria) being the minority in both the House and the Senate. By publicly stating their opposition to the bill, they are viewed by their supporters as firm against the government takeover. This was nothing more than an opportunity to have a major issue to argue when mid-term elections (and elections thereafter) came around. Republicans knew they had no chance, but knowing the measures would pass, they positioned themselves strategically much in the same way Obama was positioned in opposition of Bush and Republican's failed wars and economy during his campaign. So, their opposition (or appearance thereof) was nothing more than a show for the voters who believe the Republican Party actually considers what is in the best interests of their constituents.

Republican lawmakers actually supported these bills! When you step out of your position on the political spectrum, you can see how this makes sense. History has proven that conservatives tend to lean toward favoring big business (what do you think the terms 'free market' and 'deregulation' imply?). With the passage of this bill, health care would be mandated, and PRIVATE insurance companies would be given the subsidy monies that is said will be given to insurance purchasers. The government assists citizens--by giving them money--and the citizens then give the money to insurance providers. The American people are mere middle men (not middle class). So, insurance companies receive money from the government via taxes funneled back through the hands of the taxpayers. With nearly 300 million customers, nearly 47 million newly added, the medical industry stands a lot to gain. This pretty much sounds like right-wing socialism to me, but that's an entirely different story.

The debate had nothing to do with abortion or costs. It was all about votes! Both sides will continue to receive hefty campaign contributions; The Democrats for getting it passed, and the Republicans for wheeling and dealing behind closed doors to include amendments and earmarks that benefit their corporate buddies. Nothing has changed. Politicians don't care about you. Politicians only care about one thing... Politics! Wake Up & Smell The B.S.

Coup De Tea Party Pt. 1

By J-One Royal Fam

Setting the stage to be able to understand how this is a form of self mutilation by our government is going to be fairly easy. Think back over one year ago when the lamest of the "lame duck" presidents was leaving office. An overwhelming majority of people were relieved that "neo"-America was coming to an end and "change" was on the horizon. To another group, on the other hand, this was the beginning of the end. The gravest travesty that nation has ever known, a BLACK president with a weird last name, talking about redistribution of wealth during the worst economic "crisis" since the great depression. Something had to change in the white house. Something had to change in Washington. Thus, the birth of the tea party movement!

In their defense, though I feel that most of them need none, this was actually a grassroots movement to let Washington know that people are watching what they do. Now they are a national "right-wing" phenomenon with celebrities like Sarah Palin and whole news organizations like 666 (Fox) News who have their back. Then something bad happened, one of them crashes a small plane into an IRS building. In the press, they didn't actually call him a tea party member but those of you who are seem to not know the origins of the Boston Tea Party.

To make a long story short, a group of "patriots" dressed up as native-Americans (which has its own implications), destroyed a merchant vessel full of "taxed" tea from Britain. The reason there was so much animosity against Britain at the time was because the colonists were trying to get away from the religious and financial oppression and start over. Britain, who was still very much involved with the colonization, didn't like how independent they were becoming and wanted to make sure they still payed what they "owed" to the King. The "tea party" as it was aptly named is and is only about, repealing unfair and oppressing taxes.

In essence, Joe Stack, is technically a Tea Partier"! He was a tax protester, as they are branding him in the media, who was so passionate about his ongoing feud with the infamous IRS, he took extreme, terroristic measures to make sure his voice was heard. This led me to the conclusion that the government is trying to forcefully shut the mouths of any "real" grassroots alternative movement or organization.

Check my logic: Last year, our country got rid of the closest thing to the Nazi regime since the Ku-Klux-Klan. I say this because president Bush was recreating history of the mid-twentieth century with such actions as preemptive wars, destruction of civil liberties with the P.A.T.R.I.O.T. act, and blatant disrespect of our constitution. We remedy this with a man with the message of hope and the first black president of the United States. As most of the country was rejoicing, some folks from other parts of the country were not so enthused. Grassroot movements were starting to gain traction across America, the most publicised being the Tea Party movement. Granted, president Obama has not been on top of most, if not all, the financial decisions being made in Washington. Most of these decisions are not good for the country and is leading us into either another crisis, or creating another one down the road. None the less, there is a great divide forming within our nation with this political movement at the forefront.

What everyone need to understand at this point is that the Tea Party movement started to gain the wrong national attention. The dying republican party needed to find a new stronger base and took the tea party message as their own. 666 News was sponsoring televised events. Right-wing celebrities joined hand in hand are enabling this manipulated message. Now, the movement is not grassroots anymore. They are a fully funded, organized, hybrid, reincarnation of the republican party. Finally, a "tax protester" flies a plane into an IRS building because he is distraught over his battle with said named institution.

The ramifications of this are, without you knowing it, the government took out one of its biggest adversaries and transformed it into a new, hybrid, grassroots, political party. Then, purged anybody who wasn't going to stay with their new message. To finally, use the old plane in a building, terroristic "M.O.", to scare anyone with any type of anti-government talk to shut there mouths or be tied to this "deranged tax protester"!

If you are a tea party member and you spread any other message than unfair, oppressive taxes, you are most likely a libertarian and might need to change your political affinity. If you are an outspoken critic of the government and global affairs such as myself, we can either put up or shut up. There is obviously more at stake here then the infiltration of the Tea Party movement and "tax protesters" committing domestic terrorism. I will go into it more at a later date, but until that time:

The Truth About Gay Marriage & Abortion

By J.R. Junior

The debates over gay marriage and abortion is not a question of what is morally right or wrong, yet we often hear one side's continuous usage of the term American values. First, we must realize what these people mean when they say American values. Values has been twisted to mean what IS morally right. This gives the impression that if you are an opponent of these so-called values you are against what is morally right. American has come to mean "of the United States of America." This, too, has been intentionally manipulated. America, on a global scale, is nothing more than a corporation operating throughout the entire planet. Every maneuver is strictly for the purpose of elevating the economy of America above other corporations of the world to improve the luxuries of the owners of the corporation and shareholders; the owners being members of the Federal Reserve, and the shareholders being those who stand to benefit or perceived to benefit from the excellence of the corporation (shareholder=you). Considering this, values actually means monetary or material worth, as in commerce or trade. So, if you side with the "American values" argument you are pledging that you are concerned with the worth of America in an economic system--not morally.

When applied to the war waged against gay marriage and abortion, your stance is toward raising the value of America economically. For money to be put into the system and increase profitability, there needs to be more citizens to in-debt and extract tax dollars and labor to run the global machine from. By standing against abortion, you side with the owners of the country who see an increase in workers/consumers as an increase in taxes paid to them since the owners are paid through taxes and interest from loans.

Siding against gay marriage is no different. Two individuals filing taxes as single will, generally, pay more than a couple filing jointly. If the millions of homosexuals of the nation are allowed to file jointly, the salaries of the owners will decrease, because less taxes will be paid to them. This decreases the corporation's total worth or value.

So, be apprehensive of manipulators who twist the meaning of words and spin facts to appeal to the humanitarian within you. You may have the common goal--denying gays the right to marry and women the right to choose to abort--but your motives are completely different. They are using your desire for what is morally right (to you) to help them push agenda that is morally wrong. This is like your neighbor offering to take your child to school, because he feels the child needs to attend school. You probably would agree with him. But, what if he needed your child to attend school that day to increase casualties from the explosion he planned to set off? If these people have deceived you for this long into following them based on these issues, what else are they lying about? They are leading you astray. Don't follow or support these maleficent people... No telling where we'll end up. Wake Up & Smell The B.S.

All Men Are Dogs; Women Are Bitches!

By J.R. Junior

A few days ago, I took my cousin's dog out for a little walk. Somewhere in between the short stints of urination, I began to wonder what it is like to be a domestic animal. The dog I was controlling by way of tugs on a leash lives in an apartment. He has as much food as he wants to eat and is protected from the elements. Without effort, he has everything he needs to survive.

But, the dog is missing so much. The dog is not free. The dog is held captive by a species claiming to be the most intelligent of all earthlings. So, human supremacy gives us the idea that this dog is inferior. We see no problem in confining him in an area of only a few hundred square feet; only allowed to leave for short periods to expel waste as so not to ruin his owner's living quarters. Periods of play are scheduled for the dog around the work schedule of the owner, and the play area is even bound by limitations. This denial of freedom for the dog shows man's complex of "superiority dictates acceptance". The imprisonment of the dog is accepted because man feels he is superior, and the superior naturally rules the inferior (i.e. God reigns over mankind).

Luckily, I did not stop my pondering there. My next thoughts went something like this: Supervisors are superior to proletariat. Managers are superior to supervisors. And, executives are superior to managers. Being a member of the proletariat, I began to see myself as the dog; but not only within the limits of the workplace--in society. Much like the dog running to retrieve the newspaper or performing some new trick, the proletariat answers telephones, buys supplies, catches the ball, and sings the song for the superior (elite). The elite knows that the proletariat (commoner) does not know what true freedom truly is much in the way the dog being raised sub-servant to the man since birth doesn't know the freedom of the wild.

The idea of the elite/commoner does not solely exist in two parts. The roles exist in many varieties in the hierarchy mentioned above... manager/supervisor; manager/proletariat, executive/supervisor etc. The more one climbs the hierarchical ladder, the more "dogs" he is capable of controlling. Each of us have been preconditioned to believe their are lesser beings on the planet. In your youth, you were given ant farms, hampsters, goldfish, cats, and dogs whom lives you manipulated and controlled. Much like the animal abuser who becomes the serial killer, the "God" of the ant farm sets out on his quest to manipulate and control actual people for his own self-satisfaction only to be inadvertently subjected to the very power he seeks to obtain. The Haiti Of The Middle East Pt. 1

By J-One Royal Fam

I am getting the feeling that if you do not completely immerse yourself in Haiti by giving your prayers or your money (or lack thereof), then you are a godless American and do not deserve to be in this "Christian" nation. While I do feel sadness and sorrow for the lives lost and destroyed, I would like to try and pry your attention to our friends in the Middle East.

Their lives have been lost and destroyed by our hands and tax dollars for nearly a decade, and the only coverage they seem to gather is that a few of them are planing to attack us. I am not even going to mention the "terrorists" anymore; they get enough attention. I want all of you to know about the innocent children and civilians who lose there lives to a man-made disaster everyday. I want you to watch any sort of video of the pain and suffering that THEY have to go through. Where is the all-star cast of celebrities lining up to do a national TV event for the families in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and any other country our military or defense contracted military is "occupying"? Do you want to know where they are? In Haiti, grabbing your attention so they can grab your wallet! I thought we were in a recession anyway? That's another topic for another day coming very soon!

A lot of people consider what we do here conspiracy theory, and I can never understand why. I can never understand why we would put a price on one group of people's lives and completely ignore another, especially when WE are the ones who put them in that group. I never can understand why people don't want to get out of their shell of virtual reality and understand that life isn't so simple and the world isn't so small. I never can understand why we are deemed the crazy ones because we are willing to look outside the box and care for humanity, instead of watching Three Sixes News (this is what we will be calling Fox News from now on!) to form their opinion on the world. It's time to care, it's time to wake up, it's time to:

Everybody Is Hurting Except The Bank

By J-One Royal Fam

The Fed just reported record profits in 2009
. About a year ago this wouldn't have meant anything to me. About 9 months ago, I would have thought that the recession was nearly over. Now, I know better, and this set off a BS alarm in my head. Without sounding "nutty", the aboved linked article mentioned that a few hundred people just made off with all of your hard work and savings last year. While others and I struggle for jobs in this downed "economy", those few elitist made more money in one quarter than we could imagine in our entire lifetimes. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a "conspiracy nut" to figure this out.

How a bank works is simple. You make a deposit and the bank creates almost 10 times that amount out of thin air and gives that out in loans that are paid with interest attached. That's right. You're paying interest on something your bank never had. Doing this over and over again to millions of people is going to make a few rich and almost everyone else poor. There is no way to pay all the interest back with the actual money currently in circulation (the money in our wallets and purses). What does this have to do with the Federal Reserve?

If you can grasp the basic understanding of how a regular bank works, think of the Fed or the "central bank" as the mothership of all the other banks and the bank that Congress gave the power to print our money. So when I say that money is created out of thin air, I mean the Fed literally creates money out of thin air. Just as we go to the nearest bank and ask for a loan, whenever the government needs money to do anything, it has come from the central bank--AT INTEREST. When I say the government, I mean your federal tax dollars. Putting this all together, that headline reads: "You gave Ben Bernanke (pay close attention to this video) and all of his cronies, 47 billion dollars and they gave it back to the government (you) at interest. So next year, if we can start another war or get you to like a big, huge government deal that will hurt you in the long run, that number can almost double, at your expense." That's too long of a headline, so the one you read will have to do.

Our money is debt and our deficit is caused by our necessity for that money. There is no way to balance it or pay it off; because if we did, there would be no money at all. The only way to free ourselves from this debt slave trade we call capitalism is to research all of this ourselves, speak out in some way, and tell others. Oh yeah...

Profiling Isn't The Answer

By J-One Royal Fam

Since the failed Christmas day plane bombing, I've heard it said that we should profile every Muslim man between the ages of 18-28. In a time when fear is the most common emotion in people, that would seem to be the correct course of action. In the past few years since 9/11, we've been told about countless terror attempts from disgruntled "Muslim men", many with "ties" to Al-Qaeda. On the surface, it's safe to say: "Profile them all" in the name of national security, but what would be the point? If profiling in the name of national security is the new fad, then let's inconvenience and harass YOU!

J.R. Junior made some great points about the questions that we should ask ourselves and others about what happened that day. I, for one, believe wholeheartedly that this was all set up to scare you into supporting the invasion of another sovereign nation in the name of terror. Only this time, support is based on speculation and the idea of lives lost, which is obviously scarier. Of course, this is going to run 24-7 all over the news channels and across the web. The problem is: the rhetoric which prompts profiling is much more heavily covered than all of the childish inconsistencies of the "story" we are being told.

Have we not learned anything from history? Do we even know history? Well, history has shown that profiling has very damaging effects especially when there is no reason for it--or in our case, reasons are made up for it. Who gets effected by this? Do you even care? Of course not. It's not you whom they are after. Most of us Americans don't fit that profile. But, what if you do? I actually kind of look like Mr. Abdulmutallab, and I'm a Marine Corps veteran. So, should I go through the same scrutiny even though I signed up to defend our country? There are so many scenarios against profiling that eventually it will not make sense.

But, the biggest point I want to make is that when--and I mean WHEN--profiling happens to every person in this country, you will finally realize that no one wants to take our freedoms away except for you. No one wants to bomb a plane because of two reasons: First, it's inconvenient to everyone including the "bombers". Secondly, once the investigation is complete, their families will be bombed themselves which defeats the whole purpose of and is not even the definition of terrorism.

The only bomb attempt that occurred on Christmas day was the one that went off in the minds of the American people. Profiling seems like a good idea when you aren't the target group. Once you realize that you actually are the target group, then maybe, you will understand that this is a war to make and take money from you; not a war on half-assed wanna-be terrorists.
